Last month by bestie got married! She got engaged last October and naturally I was part of the wedding party…then we became pregnant and my estimated due date when I first found out was September 21, which was two days after her wedding. So I made the hard decision to take myself out of the wedding and have another one of her good friends step in for me and I chose to do make up instead. Looking back now even though I’m still pregnant, I was in no mood to be in a wedding and I’m so glad her other friend Brittany was able to party in my place!
So this post is just about all the make up from the wedding.
This is my dear friend Ashley. All these girls I used the same eyeshadow palette from Ulta. It’s a rose gold palette that’s pretty pigmented and blends nicely. With wedding make up I never try to do anything too exotic or out there. Which basically means I stick with mauves, browns, and neutrals.
They all wanted faux lashes so I applied those after their eyeshadow which always completes the look!
I always ask my ladies how they want their eyeliner. For example, do you want a thicker line on top or just fill in the lash line? Do you want eyeliner on the bottom and if so, inside your water line or on the lash line? Another option I offer is using eyeshadow as liner. It’s less harsh and gives a more smokey appearance. I recommend this for older women who want a liner, but not the harsh black or brown line that liner gives.
This is Jill! She gets married next weekend and I have the pleasure of getting her all done up again!
Here is the bride! Holy cow was she something to look at. With her make up I used the eyeshadow technique for her liner and made sure there were no harsh lines and everything was blended. She had a garden themed wedding and so we made sure everything was soft and highlighted. Oh, she was pretty.
