I know I’m not the only one who gets sick of using the same products all the time. It’s almost refreshing to buy a new product. It’s like getting a hair cut (or maybe I am the only one who feels this way). Anyways, I love to just browse through Target, the mall, Ulta, or Sephora and just look at new brands and then go and research them. These are the following products or stores that I have recently fallen in love with.
Not Your Mothers products have been around for awhile but I never gave them a chance because I honestly thought they were “average at best” products. However, they work really well with my hair and don’t dry it out like some products have in the past! They are affordable and bright and colorful! Which makes me happy 🙂
Quest Bars are my life saver. I’ve had them before becoming a mom, but forgot about them until a friend reminded me about them when I was complaining how hungry I was due to breast feeding. I eat one a day either when I’m starving or before I go to the gym. They taste pretty good and don’t have that yucky protein taste. I stick with mostly chocolate ones since, well, duh chocolate is the best.
Dry Goods is a store at the mall that is reasonably priced ($30-50$ for shirts/dresses). I like this store because it sells a lot of items that are basic, and you can add more pieces such as jewelry, cardigans, or scarves to “busy” up the look. They also have amazing tunics/dresses that are great for people with long torsos or have a little tummy trouble they don’t want to display. My style has always kind of been “classic” and I usually add a pop of something, maybe lipstick or a necklace, so this store is perfect for that.
Lobs. Which translate to “long bob”. I’ve always kept my hair short but since having Kerrigan it was growing really nicely. Then it started to fall out. I’ve never been attached to my hair but I wanted to see how long I could grow it until I started to get sick of it. It was so limp and didn’t do anything. So I chopped it. We lobbed a good 3 inches off and I feel so much better.
Dove Bar Soap, this sounds kind of silly, because soap is soap right? Not for me at least. I was tired of getting body wash, spending $10 on it and it not lasting long. I also reacted funny to some of them, so my cousin Mallary mentioned she used Dove to wash her face and her breakouts got a lot better, so I tried it. I love using bar soap now. I use it to wash my body and crevices as well as my face. I don’t have any acne on my back or chest as I would sometimes get before with body washes.
These opinions are all my own and I have not been paid to use these products.
